Welcome to the worlds of fascinating Asian women. Although Asian is one of the largest ethnicities in the world, diverse images of Asian women are rarely included in Western mainstream magazines. Hollywood waited for 25 years to see another all-Asian cast in the film Crazy Rich Asians, so how long should we keep waiting to see a magazine for them? It’s about time, so here we are.

The WOW is the first women’s magazine profiling accomplished, powerful, and stylish Asian women. It honours the achievements of each featured individual, allowing them to see themselves in a different light. From fashion and art, to families and cultures of every form, The WOW speaks for modern Asian women through profiles, exclusive detailed interviews, and candid portrait photography. With an international team of creatives, we highlight and showcase the talents and successes of women from an Asian background in all industries, celebrating their styles and life pursuits and offering a new and insightful point of view.

Our first issue features Crazy Rich Asians actress JING LUSI, the Harry Potter actress and feminist KATIE LEUNG, playwright and journalist JINGAN YOUNG, Innovation Director HAIYAN ZHANG at Microsoft Research Cambridge, Michelin chef ELIZABETH HAIGH, talented new emerging photographers ANNIE LAI, HAILUN MA and ZIQIAN WANG, and fashion models GRACE GUOZHI and LOVISA LAGER etc. All these fascinating Asian women are more than conquerors on the way to achieving their greatest dreams.
